Seen & Heard

The FMS campaigns and lobbies on behalf of Music Services and music education. We work closely with central Government and local authorities; we are passionate about establishing a more even distribution of funding for music education. We help set the agenda on music policy in schools and have created our own programme of self assessment and accountability.

The FMS monitors and measures the effectiveness and positive impact that exposure to music has on the development of children across all musical spectrums, particularly during the formative KS2 years.

A poster describing ten things you should know about Music Services

FMS members can download the ‘10 things’ poster here:

As a pdf for printing as an A3 poster:  10 things poster

Or as a Word template in which the name and logo of the individual service can be inserted:

10 Things poster for customisation  - this can then be saved as a pdf file.

If colour printing poses a problem, copies can still be obtained from the FMS office in Otley.
