A Common Approach breaks new ground. It provides for the first time an instrumental/vocal curriculum drawn together at national level.

Building on the experience and expertise of many teachers, A Common Approach aims to improve the quality of musical experience for all pupils by encouraging instrumental/vocal teachers to reflect on, develop and improve their professional skills, knowledge and understanding.

It provides the framework for a broad and balanced curriculum and the basis for developing long, medium and short-term teaching strategies.
